Waverly Hills Sanatorium :

Located in the state of Kentucky (USA), Waverly Hills Sanatorium was used to treat tuberculosis patients in the early 20th century. Locked up in the hospital to meet the quarantine patients underwent exploratory surgery operations for the benefit of medical experiments in order to cure the disease. Nearly 63,000 people died in this hospital, in atrocious conditions. 

Patients who died were exported out of the hospital via the "Tunnel of Death", a long gallery that allowed an automatic transfer of corpses using pulley. 

After its closure in 1961 Waverly Hills Sanatorium was the subject of mysterious facts reported by many people: whispers, shadows, strange noises.
